We are an organically grown U-Pick/We-Pick Berry Farm located in Morganton, NC. Blueberries are our crop from mid-June to the first of August. You'll find tables and seating around the farm so bring a picnic to enjoy while you're visiting. See you on the farm.

About Us
We have approximately 16 acres located in the foothills of North Carolina. The land has been in the family since 1931. In 2009 we started to investigate creating something with the land. We talked to the extension office along with friends and decided an organic u-pick berry farm is where we should start. Countryside Berries cannot be labeled organic since this requires a USDA certification. Do not worry, you can eat straight from the bushes because we use fully natural practices for growing and maintaining our plants.
A Little History:
We started prepping the land in 2010. We planted our first 1000 blueberry plants in February 2011. These quickly started growing so in December of 2011 we planted 1200 additional blueberry plants, blackberry plants and raspberry plants.
We have benches and seating around the farm and encourage customers to bring their kids and a picnic for a fun outing. We have customers who pick in the rain with their kids and those that come almost daily to pick fresh fruit for their cereal. In 2018, we had over 300 U-Pick customers come and enjoy the farm.
In 2018 we were able to start a small Muscadine Vineyard. We planted 48 muscadines in trellised rows at twenty feet intervals. During 2018, these were manually watered daily until we got the irrigation for the rows in place. We have learned a lot regarding the care and viability of muscadines and we plan to expand with our best 2 varieties so we can open this to U-pick and We-Pick customers also.
